Our Story

Today's Netherland Hotel is a small celebration of the historic roots of our building. Originally opened as a weekly hotel in the 1910s, the building is now majority residentially occupied. Our cozy hotel rooms give you a chance to stay in the heart of it all to experience Midtown Kansas City in the modern era.

Our self service hotel offers a variety of rooms to suit your needs for a night or a week, appointed with comfortable bedding and furnished kitchens. We offer contactless check-in, but welcome you to reach out if you need anything during your stay.

What amenities are included in the rooms at Netherland Hotel Kansas City?

All of our rooms come with a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and complimentary toiletries. We do not offer cribs or pack n' plays.

What if I have a question during my stay?

We provide guests with a text line for general questions and a phone number for emergencies. We also provide a Guest Portal link where you can find information regarding our building and your stay.

Do you have a fitness center at Netherland Hotel Kansas City?

No, we do not have a fitness center available to guests at this time.

Do you have parking?

Paid parking is available through AirGarage in a surface lot behind the Netherland for $20/night. Street parking does not require a permit or payment.

If you're bringing a vehicle, remove all items to deter break-ins. Like in all urban areas, vehicle break-ins can happen if valuables are visible.

What's Midtown like?

Midtown Kansas City is a vibrant urban area with restaurants, theaters, and nightlife just a short walk or ride away! We provide ear plugs for those who aren't accustomed to being sung to sleep by the sounds of the city outside.

We recommend using a sharebike from BikeKC to get to Westport or Martini Corner. For the Plaza, downtown or Crossroads district, a shareride would be a better fit for the distance. The Kansas City Streetcar Extention is currently being built directly in front of our hotel, so construction cones and redirected traffic will be common through 2024.

Is there a restaurant on-site at Netherland Hotel Kansas City?

No, our restaurant/bar is under construction at this time. We hope you'll return in Fall 2024 to visit our new restaurant partner.
